About Me
Juan Miguel Gómez Berbís is a Full Professor (Catedrático de Universidad) at the Department of Computer Science in the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. He obtained his PhD from the Digital Enterprise Research Institute (DERI) at National University of Ireland, Galway. he received his MBA from IE Business School and his Master Thesis in Software Engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL) in Lausanne (Switzerland) and an Msc. in Telecommunications Engineering from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM). He has led and contributed to more than 50 FP5, FP6, H2020, HORIZON EUROPE,ITEA3 and National R&D Research Projects.
Juan Miguel Gómez Berbís has published more than two hundred scientific international publications via books, journals, conferences and workshop contributions. He has been co-founder at NIMBEO and Universo iDEA , two cutting-edge disruptive startups in the energy and education sector, respectively. His current research interests include the Digital Disruption and Innovation, Startups, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Semantic Technologies
